Elizabeth C. "Liz" Meaker

GENEVA - Elizabeth "Liz" C. Meaker, 90, of Geneva passed away on Saturday August 23, 2025 surrounded by her family; at the house they built together, where they raised their four kids.

In Keeping with Elizabeth's wishes there will be no prior calling hours. Graveside Services and burial will be on Saturday Aug. 30 at 12:00 p.m. family and friends are invited to gather and honor Elizabeth's Life at Sand Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's name to: Camp Good Days & Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd. Mendon, N.Y. 14506.

Elizabeth was born on April 12, 1935 in Rose Hill, New Brunswick, Canada the daughter of the late Aubrey and Mable (Smearer) Emerson. Elizabeth moved to Geneva and graduated from Geneva High School and the Marion S. Whelan Practical School of Nursing. When she met her husband Howard E. Meaker.

She was a nurse at Geneva General Hospital for several years and went on to Harvest Hills Gardens for many years before retiring. Elizabeth Enjoyed Gardening, Canning, Crafts and most of all family Gatherings.

Elizabeth is survived by daughters, Sheila Meaker-Lenk, Shelly (Darryl) Marquart; son-in-law Fred Coston; grandchildren; Tyler Marquart, Hallie (Jon) Manwarren; brothers, Ralph B. Emerson of Florida, James (Lillian) Emerson of Canada; beloved fur baby, Biscuit; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Howard E. Meaker; her only son, Craig Meaker; daughter, Sherry Meaker- Coston; grandson, John Fenner II; son-in-law, Mark Lenk; sister, Velma Hill of Canada; sister's -in-law, Joan Meaker, Barbara Stenzel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Howard and Florence Meaker; fur baby, Brandy.
