Florence DeSio Obituary
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (August 10) at 11 a.m. at the Doran Funeral Home Inc., 30 Center St., Waterloo, N.Y. with Lena Shipley, Pastoral Associate of St. Mary's Church, Waterloo, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y. If desired, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 25 Center St., Waterloo, N.Y. 13165.
Florence was born in Lyons, N.Y. on April 15, 1912 the daughter of the late Anthony and Teresa (Montemorano) Maloney. She had been a resident of Waterloo for most of her life. She loved to bowl and had belonged to various bowling leagues over the years. She, also, loved to cook, fish and swim at her cottage with her husband, Marco, who was a barber in Waterloo for 60 years.
She is survived by two sons, Donald DeSio, Romulus, N.Y., Edward DeSio, Waterloo, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Michelle, Mary Ann, and Marcey DeSio; one sister, Mary Prutzman, Geneva, N.Y.; her former daughter-in-law, Judy DeSio, Newark, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Marco DeSio who died December 5, 1989; five sisters, Rose DeJohn, Katherine Fischetti, Lucy Mignone, Madeline Colacino, & Josie DeLesio, and three brothers, Thomas, Frank, and Charles Maloney.
Florence was blessed with a good long life and will be deeply missed.

I will always think of you when I am "doctoring up" my jar of Ragu sauce!! :) :) I thought of you today while I was helping Uncle Ed clean the cottage, I wondered if I was straightening the dishes the way you liked them....I hope I did! You will always be our White Swan. I will miss you Grandma Florence...xoxoxoxo

Florence will now join the love of her life Marco ,sitting by the lake together for eternity. Our family had many fond memories with the DeSio family on Seneca Lake.
