Janice Stewart Obituary

WATERLOO - Janice A. Stewart, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2024, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse, surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, where friends and family are invited to gather and honor her life.

Janice was born on Monday, March 14, 1932, in The Dalles, Oregon, to the late Cornelius and Sadie Ruth (Jackson) Blasberg. She was a 1950 graduate of The Dalles High School. Before retiring, Janice worked in the administration office at Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism. She was an avid reader; Janise always seemed to have a book in her hand. She was a member of the Lutheran Church where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to her community.

Janice is survived by her sons, Randal (Julie) and Ronald (Christine) Stewart; grandchildren Jeffery (Megan), Josh (Merrill), Timothy (Savannah), and Andrew; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John B. Stewart.

Janice will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.
