Larry Orr Obituary
Calling hours for Larry will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday (May 29) at Weldon Funeral Home with funeral services at1 p.m.. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Keuka Comfort care, PO Box 107 Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527 or a charity of one's choice.
Larry was born June 3, 1935 the son of Clifford and Viola Burg Orr. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1953, married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly Scott, on October 16, 1954. He worked for Angler Boats upon their closing he worked for Penn Yan Boats and then for Taylor Wines for 10 years. He and Beverly then purchased their vineyard in Bluff Point running it for 36 years retiring five years ago. He was an avid softball and baseball player and also belonged to the Farm Bureau and the Penn Yan Moose Club.
Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly; daughters, Debra Orr and Mrs. Pamela (Timothy) Donnells both of Penn Yan; two grandchildren, Emily and Martin Donnells; sister-in-law, Barbara (Wayne) Garren of Bluff Point; brothers-in-law, Roger (Nancy) Scott of Keuka Park, Donald (Nancee) Scott of Penn Yan and Roy Hoagland; also several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by a brother, Erwin and a sister, Karen Hoagland.
