Pamela Rogers Obituary

GENEVA - Pamela Milne Rogers passed away peacefully Monday (May 4) on her 87th birthday at Living Center South in Geneva, N.Y.
A private burial service will be held later this spring.
Pamela was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. Pamela was the daughter of James and Pauline Milne. She grew up in Providence, R.I., Beaumont, Texas, and Newburgh, N.Y., and graduated from Mount Saint Mary's School in Newburgh in 1946. Pamela worked at the Newburgh News for a number of years before marrying Robert H. Rogers of Geneva, N.Y., in 1953. They settled in Geneva, where she worked at Trinity Church and also at W.E. Rogers Insurance Agency with her husband. Pamela was a loving wife and mother and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed reading, history, movies and antiques and was an avid bridge player. She had a keen sense of humor and possessed a wealth of knowledge on many subjects. Scotland, birthplace of her father, was of particular interest to her.
She is survived by her son Robert of Penfield, son Matthew of Phelps; and daughter, Betsy (Robert) Allen of Syracuse; and her two granddaughters, Caitlin Rogers and Lark Allen.
Pamela was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert, as well as her sister Joan.
The family wishes to express their deep admiration and appreciation for the loving care Pamela received while residing on Floor 3 at Living Center South. The entire staff treated her as if she was their own mother or grandmother.

Dear Robbie, Betsy, and Matt, I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. As you might remember, Pam was my godmother. I have not seen Pam for many years but always thought of her at her birthday. She was a good friend to my mother and was very good to the Larsen girls after my mother died. I am sorry that I don't have addresses to send cards but wanted to know I was thinking of you. Cherish your memories.
