Rachel Collins Obituary
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Rachel was born in Rochester on July 29, 1991, the daughter of Christopher and Debra Walker Collins. She was a 2010 graduate of Newark High School and had been working at Byrne Dairy.
She is survived by her parents; her sister, Lauren of Newark; her maternal grandparents Donald and Theresa Walker of Norwood, New York; and her paternal grandparents Glenn and Judith Collins of Potsdam, New York.

I was deeply saddened to learn last night (June 3rd) on Facebook about Rachel's passing. I had been a pastor in Newark for eighteen years (Redeemer Lutheran, 1998-2016) and I knew Rachel for many years at both Dunkin Donuts and Salvatore's. We had many good talks and she was always in my thoughts and prayers--even after I moved to Ohio two years. Her last words to me several months ago at Salvatore's were, "You always go out of your way to visit me when you come up into the area from Ohio." I will always remember her fondly. Rev. I am so sad to hear of Rachel"s passing. I enjoyed walking with her whenever we ran into each other. The last time I saw her was before I was hospitalized and she was on her way, very happily, to a job interview. She had a wonderful smile and sweet personality that I will miss. RIP Rachel.

I am a neighbor Kathy (519 house #) I am so sorry to have heard this. I remember Rachel from the last 17 years going up and down the street walking the dogs or going to work and sometimes she would just say hello and others she would stop a few moments to chat. She was a very pleasant girl. My prayers are with you.
