Steven Cook Obituary
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday (Nov. 20) at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva.
A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday (Nov. 21) in the Middlesex United Methodist Church, 1162 Rt. 245, Middlesex, N.Y. The Rev. Sonya Mauser, pastor will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions, in his name, may be made to the Middlesex United Methodist Church.
Steve was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was the son of the late Albert and Betty Ford Cook. He was a graduate of Geneva High school class of 1976 where he played football and wrestled. He was employed for the past 14 years at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. He was a bowler, and avid golfer and was a big hunter.
He is survived by his fiancé, Joanna E. Nichols; his son, Kevin Cook of Buffalo; Joanna's sons M. Storme Guzzo and Eddie Guzzo; his brothers James (Rosean) Cook of Canandaigua, and Donald (Christine) Cook of Phelps; his sisters Lori (Mark Knapp) DeLong of Geneva, and Diana (Wayne) Wright of Seneca Castle; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Hi Steve,
I thought of you yesterday 15 September, you would have been 64 this year. I know you are in the hands of the Lord and you are at peace. Life has been very different without you, but I have faith in your presence. Happy Birthday in Heaven! I have to let you know that the Brown's lost Mayfield and are rebuilding. Sure wish you could celebrate the Bills success with me. You would be amazed at their progress and just maybe you would be a Bills fan again!! Or, not?? LOL

Today, 14 November, 2020, marks the 1st year anniversary of God taking you to Heaven. It's been a difficult year without you. I have not been the same. In which, things will never be the same again. I hear you at times and feel your presence. Every where I look in our house, in which we only shared a very short time together, is full of "what could have been" thoughts. I know that you are an Angel of God for all the goodness you shared in your life. If only I had one more day with you, we could go on that hunting trip together we planned and snowmobile on our sleds. I know it's the greatest time in Heaven with the God our Father. May you rest in peace Cookma, my Love.

I cant believe its been almost 250 days since Jesus took you home. So you could be with MaMa Cook, your Dad and mugs. You were such a kind/caring person & I was just lucky to have had you as a part and f my life. So lucky you accepted me for whom I was.
