Zachary Bowers Obituary
Family and friends may call on Wednesday (April 18) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps, NY for those who loved him in New York.
Zach was born on November 16, 1993 in Geneva, N.Y. to Jeff and Carla Bowers. As a military child, Zach had the opportunity to see the world and build memories and friendships throughout his life. Zach attended Sumner High School from 2007 – 2010 and graduated Smithfield High School in Smithfield, Va. in 2011. Zach returned to Washington State in 2013 and worked at Commencement Bay Corrugated in Orting, Wash. as an assistant machine operator, and attended college at Pierce College, Puyallup, Wash. Zach enjoyed traveling, collecting celebrity autographs, going to the gym, and most of all enjoying his life with his family. Zach will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, his selfless sacrifices to the ones he loved, and his ambition to provide his loved ones with the best things in life.
Zach is survived by his parents; his sister, Shelby Bowers; his step-daughter, Rylnn Arndt (Emily Seck); his great-grandmother, Susan Trotta; grandmother, Marie Johnson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his faithful dog Buddy.

We first met about a little over a year ago after I started at Commencement bay, we only got to work together a few times, however, I won't forget how you were in teaching me how to run the equipment I was using. I took away the impression that you are a nice guy, & a pleasure to work with. I wish I could have had more opportunities to know more about you, I will just have to settle for hearing stories about your life.

My deepest sorrow and grief go out to the Bowers family, Emily and Rylnn . I am in grieving mode myself I wake with tears thinking about Zach. I don't think there will ever be a day I will not think of him. He was such an important, special person in Emily and Rylnns life. He treated them like queens and gave them so much love, joy, and gave his heart to his special girls. I will forever have him in my heart. I will never forget the times Rylnn had so much fun with you, fireworks, Easter, New York, Disneyland, and the Bowers family taking Rylnn up in the mountains when snowing. I will forever look up at that hill and think Zach's spirit and soul are still present. He was such a special person to my family Emily my daughter and Rylnn granddaughter. You will be forever in our hearts. We love you Zach.

I pray every night I could see you one last time. I look in the clouds as if for a sign. I go to sleep crying, I wish you were here, but there in my dreams you once will appear. That heart warming smile I see on your face assures my heart your in a better place. I knew you were special but not just to me. How so many people loved you was clearly to see. The day you were taken my heart was so broken. I knew there were words I should have not left unspoken. I miss you so much but I know you understand. I cant wait for the day I get to hold your hand. As we walk down the road that is paved with gold we will hear all the stories we once told there we will see him so beautiful and strong. And we will know this is where we finally belong. So soon I will be there and I know you will wait. As you take my arm through the pearly gates. But till then I will keep my head high and know it will be ok. Until we can be together again. Zachary Bowers.. you were an amazing brother, son, father, boyfriend and a amazing friend. I will never forget your smile, the way we joked around all the time, or the holidays we spent together. On your last day on this earth me you, Emily, and Rylnn had the best day ever, you were so happy. Watching you and Rylnn eating lunch together with big smiles on your faces was priceless. Thank you for loving my sister and Rylnn with everything you had. You will be truly missed and I will never forget you.

Never will forget playing basketball with Zach when he lived 3 doors down from us in orting. Never was real close after he moved away, but will always appreciate those days on the court and just chillin with everyone in the park. Rest easy Zach.

Knowing you all the way back from Ft. Rucker, Alabama and not seeing you since then hurts to hear this news. The sports we played together and playing outside with everyone around the neighborhood will be a memory I'll hold forever. You are a special young man with a great heart. The good die young.
