EUGENE A. CONRAD

EUGENE A. CONRAD, JR., 92, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Eugene worked as a carpenter for many years, retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient, wounded at the Battle of the Bulge. Surviving are his nephews, Steve (Linda) Conrad and Kevin (Linda) Conrad, both of Fort Wayne; nieces, Lisa Conrad of Fort Wayne, Laurie (Dana) Thompson of Abbeville, S.C., Linda (Greg) Ianucilli, Judy Buchan, Cheryl Janeway, Pam McElroy and Chris Woodard all of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene A., Sr. and Anntoinette Conrad; sisters, Theresa Huntine and Joanne Myers; brothers, James and Bernard. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at St. Jude Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Father Jake Runyon officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 South Calhoun Street, with a vigil at 4:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind.
