Dear Jean and Evie's family,
I am so sorry to read of the loss of Evie. I was recently going through some pictures of my mother's and was looking at some pictures of your mother, mine (Phyllis Rupert) and Norma as young women taken at a lake cottage where they were staying. What a good time they were obviously having! Mom and your mother had been friends for over 65 years. They were in the same Sunday School class, sang together in church, in Agenda Club together, were at the same mobile home park in Florida, saw each other through the deaths of their husbands and remained friends until the day my mother died. I have such good memories of your mother from a little girl on. I know the feeling of losing your mother, but I believe that the joy I saw in their faces in the pictures I saw, will only be maginified in the presence of God. It is so hard to say good-bye to the ones we love, but what a wonderful day it will be as Christians when we can all say hello again.
I was saddened to read also, that Susan had died in Feb. I was away and didn't see it in the paper. I am so very sorry. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you, my sincerest sympathy, Cheri (Rupert) Mattox
