GARY FENSLER

GARY FENSLER, 69, of Tavares, Fla., passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021. Born March 17, 1951, in Fort Wayne, Gary was the eldest son of Russell and Joella Fensler. Gary loved his family, and being outdoors. He especially loved playing with his kids and grandkids in the pool or yard. He enjoyed golf, tennis, frisbee, classic rock music, classic cars, and family vacations! Gary loved to play the drums (on a kit, or on the dashboard) and he loved to wash your car! Gary often did random acts of kindness and imparted wisdom in a humble and humorous way. Professionally, he began his career by following his father's footsteps at the International Harvester plant, in Fort Wayne, assembling the famed Scout trucks. He was promoted to the corporate office of Navistar in Chicago and worked in the NBC Tower. He finished his career working as an international specialist in HR/Benefits. "Gary was a true family man, always putting family first and showing us with his words and actions that he truly loved us." He was a great public speaker and had a gift of connecting with people. Gary is survived by his wife, Linda Fensler; sister, Cathy Boling; brother, Rex Fensler; four children and their spouses, Laura and Brian Baker, Andrew and Whitney Gabet, Ryan and Anna Fensler, Jill and Carlos Velez; 14 grandchildren, and one great -grandchild. Gary frequently said, "You only get what you give." He gave the world so much and will forever be remembered and missed.
