HANNA R. EAKIN

HANNA R. EAKIN, 57, winged her way to heaven to meet her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. Born in Birmingham, Ala., Hanna was the youngest of six children and a daughter of the late Dr. John R. and Augusta M. Thompson. She was a graduate of Northrop High School and Ball State University. Her passions were her faith, family, friends, pets, and flower gardening. She was also a lifelong advocate for the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy. After college she opened her massage therapy clinic "Hands on Health" in Fort Wayne. Later, she became the first massage therapist hired at Parkview Hospital for their hospice department. Hanna is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Tim Eakin; a daughter, Elizabeth; a son, Alexander; three brothers, Pete of Fremont, Ind., Nate of Marshfield, Wis., and Josef of Aschaffenberg, Germany; and two sisters, Karen Pequignot of Fort Wayne and Ruth Thompson-Mouldner of Oshkosh, Wis. Mass of Christian Burial Celebration is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. The mass will be followed by a luncheon in the Hession Center. Memorial donations in her memory are requested to Cancer Services of Allen County.
