JEFFREY ALLEN BRUICK

JEFFREY ALLEN BRUICK, 54, of Aurora, Ill., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in his home surrounded by the people who loved him. Born in Fort Wayne on Oct. 4, 1967, he was the much loved only son of Judith and Jack Bruick. Jeff was a kind, humble, hard-working husband, father, and friend to everyone he ever met. He had a gift for making others feel at ease and served others in many capacities thru his church, Christ Community Church Aurora where he volunteered on the Creative Arts team and led a Men's group for many years. He and his wife Kelley also served as marriage mentors at CCC and volunteered with Family Life Weekend to Remember Marriage Conferences for nearly a decade before his illness made that impossible. Jeff also helped another local church run their Celebrate Recovery program for several years. He truly understood what it meant to be the hands and feet of God. But the thing that brought him the most joy was his family, and Jeff never missed the chance to see one of his kids performances at a school production, a boy scout event, or on a sports field. He worked hard to earn a 2nd degree black belt in Karate and would have earned his 3rd degree if an injury hadn't sidelined him. Jeff is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kelley Bruick; ex-wife, Carilu Bruick; son, JB Bruick; daughter, Madison Pucher; son, Eric Bruick; daughter, Victoria Bruick; and daughter, Gabriella Pucher. Jeff and Kelley also had many "adopted" children who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Keya Bruick; mother, Judy Bruick; grandparents, Harry and Julianne MacDonald and Mel and Thelma Bruick. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Christ Community Christian Church, 40W098 Galena Blvd., Aurora (IL 60506). The family will be receiving guests from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at the church. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations under Jeff's name may be made out to either Wayside Cross Mission or the 3:11 Project, two local charities that were near and dear to his heart. Services handled by Dieterle Memorial Home.
