JOHN FEAGLER Obituary

JOHN "JACK" K. FEAGLER, 77, of Garrett, died on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, 5:30 a.m., at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born April 5, 1933, in Garrett, he was the son of the late Virgil and Maxine (Owens) Feagler. He married Marilyn F. Bianski on Feb. 23, 1957, in Ege; she survives in Garrett. He worked in production at Peter Eckrich Meats, Fort Wayne and Tower Automotive, Auburn, retiring in 1998. He worked after retirement at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett, and G-K-B Schools, Garrett. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army-Airborne. He was a member of Garrett American Legion and Eagles and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garrett. Also surviving are his sons, Dan (Robyn) Feagler, Mark Feagler and Jed Feagler, all of Garrett; three daughters, Joni (Bob) Cole, Kathy (Brad) Johnson and Mary Kay (Brian) Cook, all of Garrett; 11 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; and two sisters, Kerin (Larry) Houser of Cape Coral, Fla. and Kay Oster of Garrett. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Denny Feagler. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garrett, with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett. Burial will follow service in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Garrett, with military graveside honors by the Garrett American Legion and VFW. Memorials to Denny Feagler Scholarship Fund, Masses at St. Joseph Church or St. Joseph Catholic School. Arrangements by Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett.
