LON MARTIN STUCKY, 47, of New Haven, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 9, 2018. He was born March 21, 1970, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of Lynn Martin and Marcia (Merri-man) Stucky. Lon's family moved from Willshire, Ohio to South Carolina when he was eight years old. He was a 1988 graduate of Wagener-Salley High School. He enjoyed jamming on his guitar with his friends, loved astronomy, Star Trek, playing with his motorized helicopters, shooting off rockets and especially going to the Fort Wayne Zoo with his wife. Lon dearly loved their three cats, one of which ruled the house. Surviving are his beloved wife, Deanne (Cannici) Stucky, whom he married on Oct. 18, 2008; mother, Marcia Stucky of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Lori Stucky (Robert) Coward of Aiken, S.C., and Lisa Stucky (Milton) Kirkland of New Holland, S.C.; father-in-law, Rick (Gloria) Cannici of Winter Haven, Fla.; brother-in-law, Rick (Valarie) Cannici of Huntington; nieces, Rachel and Kayley Kirkland, Kristen Coward, Mackenzi and Karli Cannici; nephews, Brendan Coward and Alex Cannici. He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Martin Stucky; his paternal grandparents, Martin "Mike" and Verona Snyder Stucky and maternal grandparents, Elisha and Lois Book Merriman. Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton Street, with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.
