Mark Dettmer Obituary

Mark E. Dettmer, 58, of Yoder, Indiana, passed away on August 20, 2025, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 21, 1967, a son of the late Galen and Donna (Eaken) Dettmer. He was a plumber for over 40 years. Mark was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 166. He was a die hard IU fan, cheering on all sports. Mark enjoyed working in the yard and having a good time. He is survived by his children, Austin and Mallory Dettmer; sister, Trena Dettmer; and two nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at St. Mark Lutheran Church 16933 Thiele Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old Trail Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809. Burial to follow the service at St. Mark Lutheran Church Cemetery. Contributions in Mark's memory may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
