PATRICK "SHANE" DONAHUE

PATRICK "SHANE" DONAHUE, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. Born June 19, 1937, in Fort Wayne, Shane was a gentleman and a scholar. He graduated from Marquette University where he met his wife Diane. He went on to IU for his Law Degree (J.D.) He worked for the Department of Navy and then in Washington D.C. with the General Accounting Office and moved to Mason Neck, Va., where he spend the remainder of his life. Surviving are wife, Diane; brother, Terry (Jo); sister, Nan (Jim) Delaney; sons, Kevin (Wendy) and Sean (Michelle); grandchildren, Brandon (Hannah), Colin, Meaghan, Erin, Nora; great-grandchild, Oscar; and many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Fort Wayne area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick W. and Geraldine F. Donahue; and daughter, Kelly Poe. Funeral mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Woodbridge, Va., followed by a reception at Spring Hill Community Association Clubhouse, 8946 Yellow Daisy Place, Lorton,Va. Prayer service vsitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, at Mount Castle Funeral Home, Woodbridge, Va.
