PATRICK C. LANGIN

PATRICK C. LANGIN, 77, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at his home surrounded by his wife and children. Born in Saint Paul, Minn., Patrick was the son of the late Edward and Geraldine Langin. He retired out of the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service. Patrick also worked for Slater Steel for 34 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, American Legion Post 82, and Knights of Columbus. Patrick had a love for photography, and enjoyed sharing his photos with others. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Diane Langin of Fort Wayne; children, Michael (Rebecca) Langin, Kathleen (Russell) Werling, John (Deborah) Langin, William (Caroline) Langin, and Joanne (Bradley Houser) Kolkman, all of Fort Wayne; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; daughter-in-law, Michelle Langin; aunt, Jane Olson; niece, Cathleen Main; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Patrick C. Langin II; son, James Langin; and three brothers. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at St. Jude Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 7:30 p.m. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
