Dave and I were so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jake, and your family. Steve was such a kind sweet man, and I enjoyed working with him. When I would call him in the mornings when there was a cancellation or 2 hour delay for East Allen, he was always so chipper and happy. Such a positive guy!!! He will sure be missed.

Jake,
So sorry to learn of Steve´s long suffering. How great that you were with him. You two were an inspiration. Stan and I walk by often watching for the tulips.
Lots of love and prayers.
Pass my condolences on to Taylor please.

To Mike Chambers~ I do remember you, and am pretty sure I met your mom once when in Leo with Steve. It was so kind of you to reach out and share your thoughts about Steve - thank you! It's heartwarming to know he touched so many lives. He was certainly a bright light in the eyes of his family.

Jake,
I'm not sure that you would remember me, Mike Chambers. However, I believe that you would remember my mother, Janice Knisely-Linn. Mom taught at Leo and New Haven Elementary and knew Steve well. As a child, Steve's father was my principal. Through mom's work and my school experience, I knew Steve from an early age. In more recent times, I came across you and Steve as an Angola Police Officer, now retired. Mom notified me of Steve's passing, and I thought it might bring some comfort to know that Steve was highly regarded and respected in the educational community. Mom will surely mourn his passing. As for me, I remember Steve as this quirky, fun loving teacher who exuded kindness and compassion towards his students. What cool guy.
