Suzanne Wyss Obituary

Suzanne Wyss, 79, passed away on Jul 18, 2025, at home, where she always found peace in the surrounding nature.

She was born on May 1, 1946, to Peter and Mary Jane Mazza, first-born ahead of her brothers Pete and John. In 1972, She married Philip E. Wyss, and together they raised three children: Jason (Vanessa), Taya (Adam), and Joshua (Cinthia). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tyler, Kaitlyn (Gavin), and Kaylee. Suzanne graduated from North Side High School in 1964 and attended International Business College in Fort Wayne. She was truly remarkable-passionate about life, full of curiosity, and blessed with a fabulous sense of humor, Suzanne elevated everything around her. She loved music and dancing, had a keen eye for home decorating, and poured her heart into making holidays, birthdays, and family vacations extra special. A lifelong learner, Suzanne had an insatiable love for reading and was always eager to explore new topics-from horticulture to cooking to travel. She was deeply proud of her Italian heritage and embraced all things Italian: the culture, food, and traditions. One of her greatest joys was traveling with her grandchildren, creating treasured memories on new horizons. Suzanne also generously volunteered at the Fort Wayne Botanical Gardens for over a decade, where her passion for gardening blossomed alongside the plants she lovingly tended.

"The beauty of a woman is the essence of her being." Suzanne's essence-her warmth, her zest for life, and her love-will be deeply missed. .

Dear Uncle Phil and Family - Just wanted to offer my condolences at the passing of Aunt Suzanne. I fondly remember her as a very elegant lady and great hostess. I once ran into her at the Botanical Gardens and she gave Remi and I an impromptu tour. I especially remember a family party at your lake cottage. And, of course, how could I forget being a flower-girl at your wedding in the beautiful Saint Mary's church. Lots of love, Cindy
