TAYLOR Kilgore Obituary

TAYLOR MICHELE KILGORE; her journey ended in the early morning hours of Monday, May 14, 2018, after a lifelong battle against mitochon drial disease. Taylor Michele Kilgore was born May 20, 2000 in Fort Wayne, Ind. at Parkview Hospital, she was a daughter of Angela and Scott Harter, who survive. "Our angel on Earth has finally earned her angel wings." After a miraculous birth, she spent the beginning of her life in the NICU only to overcome the first hurdle of many in her short life. Though she spent much of her life surrounded by doctors, nurses, and therapists, oftentimes within hospital walls, she found comfort and happiness in them as these people became like family. Taylor found joy in anything family, her dogs, dance, crafts and Disney. Taylor is also survived by her sister, Megan Kilgore; her step-sisters, Elizabeth, Emily, Samantha and Amanda Harter; her half-sisters, Cayci and Clohe Kilgore; her nieces, Payton Campbell and one soon to be born, all of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are Craig Kilgore and his family from Bourbon, Ind. Her grandparents are Jim and Cindy Melcher of Venice, Fla.; Ruth and Randy Towers and Richard Harter, all of Auburn, Ind.; and Teresa Kilgore of Convoy, Ohio. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven, Ind., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018, for the Kilgore friends and family only, at the church. The remaining visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, also at the church. Memorials are to Kate's Kart, Give Kids the World Foundation or Emanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society.

Angela, my heart is breaking for you. May God wrap his loving arms around you at this time. My prayers are with you and your family. I didn't know Taylor personally, but from her picture, she looks to have been a radiant personality and a beautiful child, now a child of God fully restored. (Lisa Shetler/your Optiscript co-worker)
