WILBUR KIRCHHOFER Obituary

WILBUR "BILL" KIRCHHOFER, 97, of Berne, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Swiss Village. He was born on Dec. 21, 1913, in Adams County, Ind. He married Laura Sprunger on March 21, 1937; she preceded him in death in 2008. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Berne. He was a carpenter by trade and was employed by Habegger Builders of Berne for 30 years. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Carol) Kirchhofer of Fort Wayne, James (Bonnie) Kirchhofer of South Haven, Minn. and Marvin (Nancy) Kirchhofer of Elida, Ohio; daughters, Evelyn (Paul) Norr and Betty (James) LeFever, both of Berne; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at First Mennonite Church Chapel, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Jerry Flueckiger and the Pastor Kent Norr officiating. Calling also from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Swiss Village Chapel. Interment in M.R.E. Cemetery of rural Berne.
