Ruby Marie Howell

Ruby Marie Howell, 80, of Boonsboro, MD, passed on to her Heavenly home, peacefully in her sleep on Thursday February 1, 2018 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home. Born September 24, 1937 to Mildred Catherine Trigger and Melvin Leroy King in Derwood MD. She is survived by her former husband and friend Melvin B. Howell of Taylorsville, MD. Daughter and Dawn Leah Beachley and Husband Gregory of Boonsboro, MD. Grandchildren, Everett Estes, Jason Estes, Amy Estes, Nicole Fogle, Travis Beachley and Wife Amber, and Samantha Gray. Great Grandchildren, Brison Goines, Mariya Goines, Kaiden Goines, Braxton Goines, Jasper Kolb, Jacob Allen, Justice Fogle, Jacob Beachley, Daniel Beachley, and Ally Gray. Brothers and Sisters, Melvin L. King and Wife Helen of Mount Airy, MD, Carlton (Pookie) King and Wife Phyllis of West Virginia, Billy King of West Virginia, Peggy Daufeldt and Husband Donald of Florida, Debbie Bennett and Husband Steve of Damascus, MD, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Alan Russell Howell of Gaithersburg, MD. Parents Mildred Catherine King and Melvin Leroy King. Two Brothers, John Robert King and Ronald Eugene King. Two sisters, Nancy Stokes and Vivian Sue King.

Ruby worked as a Courtroom Clerk for the Circuit Court of Montgomery County for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, doing puzzles and also doing Crossword puzzle books. She loved to go to Charlestown, WV and play slot machines. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball. Ruby loved spending time with her family.

The Family would like to send a special Thank You to Ruby's sister, Peggy Daufeldt whom took care of her for many years while living in Port Orange, Florida. Attending to her needs and making her time here on earth special in many ways while living with her. Ruby will be truly missed by everyone whom she touched throughout her years.

Memorial Services for Ruby will be held on Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post #10 at 710 N Main St, Boonsboro MD 21713 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.. All friends and family welcome.
