Stephen Bomango

Mr. Stephen Anthony Bomango, 47, of 109 N. Market St., Frederick, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 6, 1956, in Washington, he was a son of Nancy A. Carroll Bomango of Frederick, and the late Thomas F. Bomango.

He was a 1974 graduate of Frederick High School. He studied at the University of Maryland and with HB Studios in New York, and received an associate of arts degree from Frederick Community College.

Since 1986, he and his family have operated Fine Lines salon on North Market Street in Frederick.

Mr. Bomango applied his theater talent to several area production companies. He founded the Octorian and Feste Theater production companies, and for the past five years, SAB Productions.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Michael J. Bomango and wife Melissa of Frederick; one sister, Toni M. Phebus and husband Jon of Frederick; one niece, Anna See of Frederick; one nephew, Joseph Bomango of Frederick; and numerous cousins, including Judy and Justin Bryant of Fairfax, Va., Tony Jameson and Mary Bomango, both of Florida, and Robbie Bomango of California.

Friends may call at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, on Friday, Sept. 12, from 3 to 9 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Frederick A. Wenner, pastor of the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, Frederick, will officiate.

Entombment will be in the garden mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
