Jeffrey Allen Buckner, 56, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father Franklin D. Buckner.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 35 years, Lorrenda Buckner; son Tyler Buckner; daughter Tori Buckner; grandchildren, Keigan, Kason, and Kali Buckner; mother, Fearl C. Buckner; brother, Dennis Buckner (Kelly) and numerous aunts, nieces and nephews. His devoted cousin Brenda Sullivan. His confidant and "Crew Chief" Junior Graninger. His loyal companion and best friend "Little Brody".
Jeffrey worked as a fork truck driver for General Products for 30 years. He enjoyed playing softball with the "Red Eagles", basketball and bowling. His greatest passion was drag racing. He loved racing his dragster at the race track with his family.
The visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Stone, of Spotswood Baptist church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ryan Graninger, Jimmy Dievers, Gregory Anderson, Dickey Hall, Shawn Moore, Gary Pitts and Weede Yount.
