Robert Dayfield Obituary

Robert H. Dayfield Sr.

Robert Hughes Dayfield Sr. of Stafford County died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Stafford Hospital.

Robert was born on Aug. 27, 1943, in West Virginia to Francis and Katheryn Hughes Dayfield.

Robert was a teacher for Stafford County schools for 25 years before his retirement. He also had coached soccer at Stafford High School, as well as baseball and Little League. He was a former president of the Lions Club and a great nature lover. But, above all, his family was his greatest joy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia, also a Stafford County teacher; a son, Robert Dayfield Jr. (Brenda); two brothers, David Dayfield and Paul Dayfield (Lee); and three grandchildren, Hailee, Carter and Robert.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday March 1, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, 186 Shelton Shop Road, where a service will be held at noon Saturday, March 2.

Burial will be private.
