Erlene Jung Obituary
Erlene was born Feb. 5, 1926 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Herwin and Lilly Weber Wehmeyer.
Erlene married Gilbert Jung on Aug. 22, 1946 in St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Erlene is survived by six children and their spouses: Jerome Jung of San Antonio
Cary and Linda Jung of San Antonio
Mark Jung of San Antonio
Jeanne and Robert Denny of New Braunfels
Jeff and Lisa Jung of San Antonio
Deneen Jung of San Antonio
Nine grandchildren and their spouses: Kevin Jung, April and John Beakley, Mary and Rosetta Mendoza, Katie and Jeff Phelps, Jacob and Shelby Denney, Aaron Denney, Billy and Carrie Jung, Crystal and Kevin Nyman, and Jeffery Jung Jr.
Eight great-grandchildren: Elaine Mendez, Logan Phelps, River Denney, Donovyn Jung, Kylea Nyman, Hunter Nyman, Levi Nyman, and Brooke Nyman.
Along with her parents and husband, Erlene was preceded in death by daughters: Mary Jung and Cris Jung, and sister, Dorothy Ann, Mrs. Red Weinheimer.
Mass of Resurrection was held on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 12 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. John Nolan officiating.
Graveside services and interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation for Erlene Jung was held on Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a Hospice of your choice, or to the charity of your choice.
