Ben C. Walschots

Ben C. Walschots of Coarsegold passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008, in Fresno. He was born in Tilburg, Holland, on January 22, 1927. He became a U.S. Citizen in 1964, and worked as a carpenter all his life. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; his stepson, Rod Hicks and his wife Eva; his stepdaughter, Cori Hicks-Ferri and her husband Nick; five grandchildren, Audrianna, Briana and Tommaso Ferri, and Kieryn and Kyle Hicks; two brothers, Kees and Adrian in Australia; and several relatives in Holland and Australia. A Memorial Service will be held at SKP Park Sierra, 45323 Park Sierra Dr., Coarsegold, on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Valley Childrens Hospital in Madera.
