Dear Dr. Mon Pere, Thank you and God Bless you for restoring my hearing at the young age of 20 years old (1967) by performing surgery, a relatively new procedure surgery, which had only been developed a few years prior. My hearing went from 4% to 98% due to a disease, (Otosclerosis). Not only did you restore my hearing, but you were truly one of the nicest, most polite and kind person I have ever met!

Dear members of the family of Dr. Gerald Mon Pere I just saw the notice of Doctor 's death. Please know that my prayers are with you in thanksgiving for Doctor Gene's life and for all the persons whose life he touched in in lifetime. I knew him when I was a chaplain at St. Agnes Medical Center. However, I am retired now and no longer in Fresno so am unable to attend his services and tell you in person. My prayers are with you across the miles.

It is with deep sadness to hear about Dr. Mon Pere´s passing. His family and mine were very close and as kids, we spent many hours playing together. My sincere condolences for all the Mon Peres, especially his children. Dr. Mon Pere was always kind and generous and a remarkable doctor who treated me many times. If there ever was an example of a true gentleman, it was him.

The Mon Pere family have all been friends with my family through many years. I knew Jerry's two wives especially Lila, very well. Jerry was the kindest gentleman from the time he and I were kids around the pool at Sunnyside til the time he had gone to Heaven. RIP, dear friend
