My sorrow goes out to the family. I have just survived the same sort of tragedy.Bev Lupino, a family friend of 35 years, came across the contry to help me with the pain.

My condolences to Jeri and the rest of the family. I very much enjoyed the time that Jim and I worked together, and I admired his skills as a lawyer. Jim was uniquely able to be both a trusted advocate and a loyal friend.

Jim was a very giving and caring man. I thought of Jim as my "Godfather". He was always there to listen and help. He assisted me with the difficult legal process of assuming conservator and power of attorney for my elderly father.

Jim made me feel proud to be an attorney. He cared about his clients and helped many without pay. He was admired for his skill and compassion. He was great teacher and a hell of a poker player. He helped me and I'll never forget him. I am very saddened by his passing.

The world will be a darker place without the bright light of Jim's smile, laughter, wisdom, and caring. You will be sorely missed, Jim. No one can take your place. My thoughts are with you, Jeri, and your family.
