Mark Crawford Obituary
April 18, 1967 - October 16, 2024
Madera Ranchos, California - Mark Thomas Crawford passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 57. Mark's life was one of warmth, integrity, and unwavering dedication to those around him. He had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, bringing light and joy wherever he went. Mark's kindness and generosity left an indelible impression on his community, and he was always there to lend a helping hand. His absence leaves a void in our hearts.
Mark is preceded in death by his father Carl Crawford, Baptismal God parents Ana Marie and Pat Arnold, First Communion sponsor Father Thomas Kleinhans, Honorary sponsors Ed and Gladys Nold , Brother in law Abel Aparicio. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Martha Crawford, Son Cole, Mother Crawford, Mother Margaret Kleinhans- Crawford, sister Cindy Trujillo, Cousin Father Rod Craig (Confirmation Sponsor), Sisters and Brother in laws Aparicio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark graduated from Bullard High School where he was active in baseball, soccer, and football. Ater graduation from High School he attended Fresno City College where he excelled academically and as an athlete playing on the Fresno City College football team (1980-1989). Mark excelled on the field and was inducted into the Ram Football Wall of Fame (located at Ratcliffe Stadium) on April 1998.
Marks success on the football field earned him an athletic scholarship to University of the Pacific (Stockton) where he received a bachelor's degree in business. Mark attended Fresno State, where he received a master's degree in physical education, he wrote his theses on "Fresno City College Football History". Mark enjoyed mentoring upcoming athletes through coaching at Fresno City and Bullard High School.
Mark ran a successful Insurance agency for 30+ years. He had a talent for business and enjoyed educating others about all insurance needs. His clients became friends and or part of his family.
Mark had a love for the outdoors he enjoyed hunting, fishing and dog training. His passion for hunting and fishing took him out of the state for some memorable experiences. On his spare time Mark did some taxidermy work and assisted at the Clovis Rodeo.
A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Jay Chapel Funeral home at 6 p.m., 1121 Roberts Ave. Madera, CA. A Celebration of Life mass will be offered on November 14, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Church 5770 N. Maroa Ave. Fresno, CA. at 10 a.m..
Mark blessed our lives with love, care, strength, and humor he will for ever be in our hearts.

Mark has entered into yhe heavens where God made a place for him. Mark was our brother. TERRY LEON
MC COY's best friend when they were younger. Hw graduated from Bullard with Terry. We would see Mark only with a smile, never a frown. We are so shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. My sincere love and condolences to Martha, son Cole, Cindy and Margaret.
I have known Mark since he was a new born baby. Use to be his baby sitter when I was a teenager. Then when he grew up he became my Insurance Agent in the early 1990´s. Always treated us good! My heart is very sad to hear this news. May God watch over the family in this very hard time
