Sean Cooney Obituary

Sean died at home on Thursday, February 28, 2008. He was born on December 28, 1959, in Santa Monica, Ca., the son of Wallace Russell and Carole Jean Cooney. Sean attended Hunting-ton Beach High School, graduating in 1978. He attended California State University Long Beach, California State Univer-sity, Fresno and Fresno City College, graduating from Fresno Pacific Col-lege with a BA degree in Christian Ministries in 2001. Sean was an accom-plished musician and a gifted vocalist and mini-stered for many years at First Baptist Church of Clovis and Central Calif-ornia Walk To Emmaus. Sean was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was loved. All who knew Sean have suffered a loss. He leaves his wife Nona; his daughters Lillian and Elizabeth; his son Joseph. He also leaves Louie and Geneva Miller, Christopher, David, Walter and Amanda and their families; his mother Carole; and his brothers Peder, Jonathan, Jeffrey, and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist. Church of Clovis on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances for the Cooney children may be made to First Baptist Church of Clovis.
