Tom & I served in Vietnam Nam in the Seabee’s together. Although I didn’t know him as a friend I saw him frequently. I was from Pittsburgh then and Tom played softball on the Battalion team with one of my buddies also from Pittsburgh and I would see him at the games. Move ahead 50 years to our 50th Battalion Reunion in Gulfport, MS, I had just pulled in to the motel with my wife and started to unload the car when a short grey haired guy came out of his room and because I had a Seabee hat on stopped to chat. We of course didn’t remember one another and Tom went back into his room to fetch pictures, while looking thru them I saw a softball picture and remarked “I remember that guy” he looked st me quickly and announced “THATS ME”, we stood there and laughed at each other for a couple minutes. I’m sorry for your loss, and I’m sure the world lost another good man ! God Bless you all !
