Albert Parton Obituary
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2017, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla. The Rev. Jack Smith will officiate.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory is directing.
"Buddy," as his friends and family knew him, was a resident of Fort Payne and a former longtime resident of Etowah County. He retired from Gulf States Steel after more than 30 years of service. Buddy enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved his family and the Lord, spending countless hours devoted to Bible study.
Those preceding him in death include his brother, William Don Parton; former wife and mother to his children, Jeanette Clements; his parents, Sherman and Elizabeth; his stepson, Randy Slaton.
He leaves behind his wife, Santa Fe Parton; son, Michael (Paula) Parton; daughter, Michele (Matt) Davis; son, Mark Parton; stepchildren, Greg (Yvonne) Slaton and Shirley Slaton Page; siblings, Richard (Ann) Parton, Frances Watts, Ruth (Johnny) Farmer, Carol (Jack) Smith, Gloria (Randy) Thompson and Rose (Milton) Jernigan; grandchildren; Adam and Clea Kate Parton, Anastasia and Alora Davis, Christian Parton and Mariah Cassels, Natasha, Cory, Brian, Isaac and Harmoni Slaton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, chosen family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Buddy's honor to a charity of your choice.

Buddy was a wonderful friend of mine at the steel mill.A true Southern gentleman with a heart of Gold. Buddy will be missed by all who knew him.May God bless his soul and give peace and comfort to his family.
