While living in Knoxville, Tennessee, Peanut was greatly involved in his church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, a Deacon and as the Chairman of Church Finance.
Peanut retired back to Gadsden to help with the care of his mother and father. Peanut was also devoted to his dog, Trixie. He had many hobbies, which included golf, motorcycling, target shooting and was actively involved in his family's genealogy.

Cousin Peanut, We still miss you so much....and I think you would be pleased that we did get Grandpa James grave marked with a monument. It isn't the big impressive monument we had discussed, but at least the grave is not forgotten any longer . God bless the memory of you

So very sorry to have just learned of Peanut's passing. He and I were fellow genealogists on the Bishop side, and were distant cousins. My deepest sympathy to the loved ones he left behind.

Peanut was a great and fun loving guy. Always had a big smile. In High School he was a very good athlete and student that I admired. I extend my sympathies to Peanut's family . I know that Gods perpetual light is shining on Peanut and I pray that he comforts all those who grieve his passing.
