Kathryn and boys: I haven't seen you for many years, but have always remembered your family with love and appreciation. Maurice baptized us, married us and buried us. Your family will always hold a special place in my heart. May God give you peace that only he can give at this time.

Even though you weren't, you will always be Uncle Maurice and Aunt Kathryn. I have many fond memories of you all. Especially those lunches after church on Sunday. That was something special in ways you will never know to me. Uncle
Maurice baptized me and married me. You two have always shown with God's grace and beauty. Kathy Osborne Carr. Bud's daughter.

To the Campbell Family,

I will never forget having Uncle Maurice , Durwood and Loftin over to my house to watch the Alabama and Auburn football game. The one missing was my dad, R.L. Campbell. I saw three brothers looking as if they were in their 20's.

In respect of the sadness in the loss of Uncle Maurice, I have to look at the foundation of respect and honesty of all four men, have made a large impression on me from childhood until now. If I could have been half the man these men are, my legacy to the world would be complete.

I remember a friends mother passed away who had no one to speak at her grave side service. I called Uncle Maurice and asked if he could officiate her funeral service.
Not knowing her and without question he said he would be glad to.
When he spoke the words God had put upon his heart, there was a calm and peace that came over the family.
When the service was over I gave him a small amount of money for his time.
I remember he thanked me and said not many people had offered to give him any money for his time.

That said to me that Reverend Maurice Campbell didn't serve God for money.
He was called to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and did it with humbled honor and dignity.

In closing, I know that Maurice Campbell is not in a funeral home. He is standing at the right hand of Almighty God
I'm not sure how it works up there, but I hope he gets to watch the University Of Alabama with R.L., Loftin and their dad wearing his Roll Tide t-shirt on the 50 yard line!.
