Gaffney, SC - Charles C. White, 77, of 851 Darwin Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.
Born in Shelby, he was the husband of the late Sandra Ledbetter White and the son of the late Chester "Sid" White and Ada Head White. He was a graduate of Shelby High School, enjoyed hunting, fishing, putt-putt, loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and was an avid Gamecock fan. Mr. White was retired from construction and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Taylor Norris (Jordan) and Eric Peterson (Amber), both of Gaffney; four great-grandchildren, Abel Peterson, Aubrey Norris, Mason Peterson and Avery Norris; a son-in-law, David Peterson of Gaffney; and a special friend, Bonnie Davis of Gaffney. Mr. White was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammie White Peterson and Wendy White.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Kirby Church with Reverend Duck McAbee and Mr. Jordan Norris officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
