Darlene Blankin Obituary
Blacksburg - Mrs. Darlene Parker Blankin, 74, of 208 Sunset Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Cherokee Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Donald Blankin and daughter of the late W.F. and Virgie Spencer Parker.
Mrs Blankin was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, a former member of the Women's Club, a cheerleading mom, brownie leader and enjoyed baking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Inge Parker.
Surviving Mrs. Blankin are her husband, Donald Blankin of the home, two daughters; Casey Israel (Kenny) of Blacksburg and Courtney Blankin (Jason) of Gaffney; two brothers; Fred Parker (Vickie) of Inman, SC and Steve Parker of Spartanburg, SC; one sister in law, Beverly Allison (Dickie) of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Scoot Maynor (Katie) of Boiling Springs, SC and Elizabeth and Kaitlin Parks of Blacksburg; one great grandchild, Aubrie Maynor of Boiling Springs, SC.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, January 11 at 1 p.m. in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 10 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary.
