Midland, Texas - Former Midland College President, Dr. David E. Daniel, formerly of Gaffney, died peacefully on July 23, 2020. Dr. Daniel will be lying in state from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Blakely Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held by the family. Blakely Funeral Home & Crematory, Gaffney, S.C.

My sincere condolences to Dr. Daniel's family. I have missed seeing him at Manor Park with his lovely wife by his side being so attentive to his needs. He was a remarkable man and I am so grateful for what he did for Midland College. May he rest in peace as he dwells in the house of the Lord forever.

A very good man, did wonders for Midland College during his tenure. Enjoyed working with him for 6 years. Prayers for his sweet wife DeeDee and family. Many good memories.
