Gaffney, SC - Evelyn Waters Owens, 75, of 125 Planters Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2025 at her home.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Wallace Lamar "Dickie" Owens and the daughter of the late Billy Waters and Elizabeth Allison Waters. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, loved being a homemaker and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Owens was a retired beautician and a member of The Salvation Army Church.
In addition to her husband, also surviving are two sons, Kevin Owens of the home and Wallace Owens Jr. (Sandra) of Circleville, Ohio; two daughters, Jacqueline Senter (John) of Lexington and Teresa McAbee of Gaffney; four brothers, Jimmy Waters, Alfred Waters (Jan), Randy Waters and John Waters (Cherri), all of Gaffney; four sisters, Ann Moss, Mandy Irwin, both of Gaffney and Nancy Hampton (Dennis) of Blacksburg; five grandchildren, Joshua Senter, Memphis Owens, Knox Owens, Keely McAbee and Ashley Cradlebaugh (Marcus); three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Waters; and a sister, Kay Waters.
Services will be private for the family in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alan Peeler officiating. Entombment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
