Gaffney - Mrs. Helen M. Crowe, 61, of 301 Overhill Drive Lot#10, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7th, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, SC on July 17, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Mayfield and Alma Coleman Mayfield. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Crowe, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Crowe loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her furbaby Gizmo.
Surviving Mrs. Crowe are three daughters, Brandy (Daniel) Fortner, Ashley (Brad) McAbee, and Dana (Adrien) Matson, all of Gaffney, SC, grandchildren, Nickole Bevis (Michael), Kayla Fortner, Aleigha McAbee, Layne McAbee, Hailey McAbee, Kayden McAbee, Kallie Matson, Karter Matson, and Kenzly Matson, all of Gaffney. Also left to cherish her memories are three brothers, two sisters, and her furbaby Gizmo.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Crowe.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney, 211 E. Frederick Street, Gaffney, SC 29340.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00pm, with Pastor Brian Inland, officiating.
The family will be at the home of her daughter Brandy Fortner, 195 Turkey Ridge Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.
