Gaffney, SC - Reverend Joseph "Joe" Boyd Bagwell, 74, of 558 Bonner Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Cherokee Medical Center.
Born in Union, he was the husband of Teresa Henderson Bagwell and son of the late George Bagwell and Annie Mae Williams Bagwell. He was a graduate of Union High School, attended Spartanburg Technical College, was a retired Pastor, and a member of Prospect Baptist Church in Mooresboro where he served as Chairman of Deacons. He loved his family, his fur-baby "Stella Louise", riding horses and hunting.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a sister, Kathy Bogan (Randall) of Jonesville; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews and one greatniece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Bagwell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Prospect Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC with Reverend Tim Elmore officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Prospect Baptist Church, 2610 Prospect Baptist Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114.
The family will be at their respective homes.
