Rita Watkins Obituary
She was born on Aug. 27, 1977, in Gaston County, to Raymond Watkins and the late Mabel Allison Watkins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Washington Missionary Baptist Church in Shelby.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 2:30 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the home of her father, Raymond Watkins, 1812 Garland Ave., Gastonia.

My condolences to the Watkins family. Rita was a dear friend to me the first day we met. I was hurt and I am still hurting since her passing. My prayer for peace for everyone knowing that she is resting with the Lord and her mother (Mable).
