David Thomas Obituary
He was born in Westfield and is the son of Lorraine (LaCroix) Thomas of Southampton and the late William "Walter" Thomas.
David grew up in Southampton and was a graduate of Springfield Technical Community College, where he earned his degrees in Electrical Technology, Computer Maintenance and Laser Technology. He worked most of his career as a Laser Applications Engineer at Texcel, Inc. in East Longmeadow.
David loved his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Throughout his life he loved to socialize and will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and laugh.
He was a friend of Bill W.
He will be dearly missed by his mother Lorraine Thomas of Southampton, his loving wife Carole (Motyl) Thomas, who would be celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary on August 10th , his daughter Sarah Williams and spouse Phil and their son Christopher Williams of Easthampton, his daughter Lora Thomas and spouse Adam Crosby and their children Nathan and Ayva Crosby of Easthampton, his sister Kathy O'Neil and spouse Michael of Chesterfield, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his father David is predeceased by his sister Susan Faivre and his brother Stephen Thomas.
Calling Hours will be held this Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Boucher – O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, MA followed with a service at 7 p.m.
Memorial donations made be made to the Easthampton Community Center.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We were close friends early on in our young lives, during the 70's. Dave was always a good friend...of course we grew older and went our separate ways. We both started our own families and lost track with one another. I thought of Dave often, and never knew how well his life turned out. Sounds like he had a very rewarding life and career. Funny how we both chose the same career. Rest in peace, my good friend. We will meet again. God Bless to his family, friends, and co-workers. He will be missed by all.

To the family,
I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of Grandpa. I always enjoyed his sense of humor at family parties and could tell how deeply he loved you all. Sometimes he would just quietly watch the craziness going on as presents were being opened, cake was being eaten, or just the chaos of a birthday party was swirling about him. He always had a relaxed smile on his face as he watched the ones he loved.

So very sorry for your loss. David and I worked at Texcel/MedSource together and we recently became facebook friends and I loved how he would comment on my posts and pictures. His wit and humor were above all others. He will be missed.

To Dave's family,
Just knowing that despite being physically exhausted in the body, he beat the battle, and he won in heart and soul. What a good man, I thank god for Dave. He was a huge part of my daily life, and made me feel peace and comfort. Anytime I was out, I'd look for Dave, and when I saw him happiness always entered into my mind. He lives on in heart!
