Michael Monagle Obituary
Duncan, SC - Born in Cambridge, MA and formerly from Stoneham, MA. Michael passed on November 7th, 2023. He was in the food service industry for most of his life, mostly at Smith College until moving to St Croix for 21 years. He lived by his own compass with no regrets and was loved by all. His passions included reading and gardening.
He is survived by his brother Brian Monagle of Duncan, SC, niece Alanna Monagle Rich, grandnieces Madelyn Rich and Victoria Rich of Worcester, MA, nephew Brian Monagle Jr and grand nephew Declan Monagle of Rising Sun, MD, nephew Andrew Monagle of Arlington, Va and and Ryan Monagle of Aberdeen, NJ.
Michael will be missed by us all and will soon return "my island" of St. Croix to be at rest.

I had worked with Mike in Newport RI bartending he was always fun to work with. I was fortunate to stay in touch with him when he moved to St Croix, so sorry for his loss. He was a great guy!

Michael was my supervisor at Smith College for my first 4 years there. He definitely taught me the "Smith way". I always think of him when I reflect on my career. I enjoyed his expertise in the culinary field. I know he loved living on the island and wished I could have heard more about his life there. Rest in Peace Mike! Admirably, Dottie Goulet
