Walter Siebenbaum Obituary

Stoughton, WI - Walter E. Siebenbaum, 94, of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Stoughton Hospital. Walt was born on October 17, 1929 in Perryville, NY to the late Henry and Christine Siebenbaum, of German heritage. He attended High School in Cazenovia, NY. In his early years, he was a dairy farmer on the family farm in New York. This would change after he met Myrt, the Norwegian girl from Edgerton. On June 7, 1952, Walter married Myrtle Bye at Central Lutheran Church. He then attended Electronics School in Chicago. Walter worked for many years at OC Electronics and later at Accudyne in the Janesville area. He was a "jack of all trades" and could fix just about anything. He loved woodworking. He was very active in his community and his church, Central Lutheran Church. He served on many boards and sang in the choir for many years. Walt and Myrt traveled to many parts of the world, Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, Norway, Australia, and Panama, to name a few. He enjoyed the card games of euchre, 500, and skipo. There was not many a card game of euchre or 500 that he and Myrt would not attend in the local area. Walt was a friend to many, and he had a telephone list to stay in touch. Blessed be the memory of Walt.

Walt is survived by his sisters: Anna Hogan of New York and Ruth Kinney of Florida; brother and sister-in-law: Arnold and Jean Bye; and longtime friends: Jon and Georgia Paulson; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded by his parents, wife: Myrtle Siebenbaum; and three sisters: Olga Olcott, Ingeline Van Deusen, Gertrude Ramich.

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Central Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Fassett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10 AM until the start of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Walt's name to Central Lutheran Church of Edgerton or Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Stoughton.
