Barbara Smith Obituary

Barbara K. Smith February 14, 1941 – March 29, 2012 Barbara K. Smith passed away March 29th, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, CO. She was born February 14, 1941, in Creston, Iowa to Raymond and Audra Brown. In 1959, Barbara graduated from New Hartford High School in Iowa. 1969, was the year she married Max Smith and moved to Colorado. She lived with her family in Calhan, CO for 15 years, then moved to Dillon, CO where she worked for a number of years before retiring to Grand Junction, CO. Her favorite passion after retirement was showing her 1969 Mustang at various car shows. She was loved by so many, and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Max of Grand Junction; two sons, Derek Smith of Grand Junction, and Lynn Hough of Lancaster, CA, and one brother, Phil Brown of Glenwood, IA. She is also survived by five grandchildren. Services will be held April 14th, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at the Palisade Church of the Nazarene in Palisade, CO.
