October 19, 1965 - March 24, 2018

Mason City- Bridget M. True, 52, of Mason City, passed away on Saturday (March 24, 2018) at the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit- Hospice of North Iowa, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be held 10:30am Friday (March 30, 2018) at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 4th St SE, Mason City with Pastor Jeni Bohls officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday (March 29, 2018) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City.

Bridget M. Patterson was born on October 19, 1965, a daughter of Harvey Patterson and Carol Patterson in Mason City. She was raised in Northwood and attended Northwood-Kensett High School.

Bridget married Kim Kindschuh and together the couple had a son, Tony. After Kim's death in 1989, Bridget met her soul mate, Robert True in 1990. They were blessed with their daughter Tori, and later married on November 1st, 1997.

She worked a variety of jobs, but most recently, Bridget worked for Hy-Vee, until she was unable due to her treatments.

Bridget loved her family with all of her heart, she especially loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and godchildren. Spending time outdoors was another joy in her life, she loved hiking and gardening, as well as going swimming with her mom, grandchildren, and godchildren. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, crocheting, and anything else artistic. Everything she created was to bring joy to someone else.

She fought a long, hard battle with cancer and never once complained. She was always looking to brighten someone else's day.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Robert True; her children, Tony Kindschuh, and Tori True-Nelson (Matt Nelson); her grandchildren, James and Jacob Kindschuh; her parents, Harvey (Evy) Patterson and Carol Patterson; grandmother, Geneva Patterson; siblings, Dan (Peggy) Patterson, Deb (Mark) Stratmann, and Todd (Dana) Patterson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Tammy Patterson, Julie True and Jayna True, Dennis (Becky) Kindschuh, Richard (Sue) True, Tom (Rhonda) True, Dennis (Lisa) True, David (Judy) True, Randy True, Donald (Ericka) True, Debbie (Roger) True, Cindy (Brian) Smith, Becky Shannon, Jenny (Lance) Nielsen, and Karen (Chris) Larsen; her godchildren, Kristen Wagner, Madyson Penn, Leighton Penn, Ryleigh Penn, Graycen Smidt, and Ethan True; her dogs, Marley and Bruder; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bridget was preceded in death by her grandparents, LeRoy (Evadna) Pedersen; grandfather, Robert Patterson; brother, Scott Patterson; nephews, Dustin Wagner, Nathan Wagner, Michael Carpenter, Hunter True, Chad Moon, and Little David; niece, Shannon Duclos; her mothers and fathers-in-law, Carl and Clara True and Paul and Verla Kindschuh; and her brothers-in-law, Steve True, Kenny True, Alan Kindschuh, and Dennis Wagner.
