Shorty, you were like a sister to me. We were inseperable in college, you were my maid of honor, you were my best friend. From our college shenanigans to our NY trip a couple of years ago, I am blessed to have so, so many happy memories of my time with you. I will miss you.

Cindy will be greatly missed, she was a wonderful sister who was caring, considerate of all, and full of life. She worked very hard to keep all of us connected and up to date on current family events.

I WILL MISS CINDY WALKING MURPHY AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR EVERYONE. MY SINCERE SYMPATHY TO THE SHORT FAMILY.

Chris and Bobbie Short

March 16, 2008

Although we never had enough time together I now cherish the time we did have. Always had a smile and kind word for her "brother Chris" as she referred to me. From the moment she met my wife Bobbie she asked if they could be sisters as she always wanted more sisters in the family. We will miss her dearly and only wish there was more time and more opportunities to help in the end.

We will miss Cindy dearly; she was a loving caring sister to me and my family, and especially close to Lisa’s and my daughter Abby and son Jeffrey. They could not have asked for a better Aunt, she loved to spoil them rotten while watching them when Lisa and I were on vacation. She worked hard her entire life and was very supportive, caring and loving to everyone she came in contact with, I think that is the reason she made such a great nurse. She loved her dog Murry and her red car, and swore to never take the tint off of the front windows, no matter how many tickets she got. This world is a better place because she was here and she is now able to be with all of those having passed before her. Many lives are better because of our dear Cindy. Again she will be missed and remembered forever.

My dear little sister, Cindy. I loved you from the day you joined our family and as the years went by I just kept getting more and more proud to tell everyone I knew that you were my little sister. I am so happy we were able to get together as often as we could. You were the best little sister a guy could have! I miss you, Cindy.

I will miss my third sister, Shorty, forever. We just spoke last month of driving around aimlessly around Clear Lake in the summer blasting "Don't Be Cruel" and "Buffalo Stance" until the cassette tapes plain wore out. You were the most fun and craziest person I've ever known, and I'll love and miss you forever.

You will be missed, but we will always have the lasting memories we'll cherish. You were so much fun and such a giving person. Eventhough we may not understand why now, God's timing is always right. He had other plans for your life and wanted you with him. It is our prayer that all who knew Cindy can find comfort in that.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Short family, and all of the people who were lucky enough to have known Cindy. It's been quite a while since I had seen her, but I'm guessing her bubbly personality hadn't changed at all. So sorry for the loss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Cindy's passing. As a neighbor, I'll miss her passing by in her little red car with "Short1" on the license plate. I'll also miss seeing her and Murphy when I walk my dogs. Although she was on this earth a short time, she touched many. She'll be missed!

I remember her as a "spitfire" of a little woman who never hesitated to extend herself to someone in need. She loved her little dog Murphy or Junkyard as she and I called him. The loyal little companion that, even at times, went to work with her. We joked that he had his own lunchbox and time card and demanded compensation in treats. She spoke of planning to put in rasberries this spring and couldn't wait to get her garden going. She was going to sew new drapes on her sewing machine and was pleased that she had learned how to do that from her mother. She was going to show me how to boil an egg since I was inept in the kitchen. We were going to go mushroom hunting for morels again this spring. She wanted to cook out and have a bunch folks over. She loved doing that. We were going to take that vacation that she wanted to take so she could see what the ocean looked like in California. There was so much that she and I were going to do...I was going to tell her once more that I love her.

I'm going to miss you Cindy. I have so many wonderful memories with you; it'll be difficult not having you as a continuing part of my life. But you are now with those who also loved you (Rosie and your grandparents) and are no longer with the rest of us. Your brother.

We will miss Cindy. Whether it was meeting at Hobo day or having each other over for impromptu barbeques, she was always a delight. Our thoughts are with you.
