OSAGE | Gary Arthur Dodge, age 65, of Osage, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City with his children by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Art Zewert officiating.
Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery with Military Rites at the Grave by Osage American Legion Post 278.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home.
Gary was born July 14, 1951, in Osage. He was the son of Gordon and Bonnie (Grand Pre) Dodge. Gary graduated from Osage High School in 1969. He served his country as medic in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. Gary worked at Wallace Computer Services in Osage retiring in 2006. He was a member of Osage American Legion Post 278. Gary enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a one-of-a- kind individual, with a dry wit and great sense of humor. His family and friends will cherish their time spent together.
Gary is survived by his children, Melanie (Nick) Johanns of Nora Springs, Andrea (Dean) Brumm of Stacyville, Mike (Viktoriya Goldman) Dodge of Osage; grandchildren, Bria, Bailey and Isabel Johanns, Brooke Davila, Dylan and Chelsea Brumm, Sasha Goldman, Lena Polekha and Annabella Dodge; brothers, Bruce (Kathy) Dodge of Ankeny, Scott (Susan) Dodge of Mankato, Minnesota and Brent Dodge of University Park; five nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
